ENDORSED INSURANCE PROGRAMS --Take advantage of C.A.R.'s endorsed programs to cover your insurance needs. If you have questions on any of these programs, please call the numbers listed below.

Medical Health Plans

Medical Health Plans

C.A.R. offers guaranteed issue health care plans with Blue Cross of California and Kaiser that do not require a medical application and whose rates are based on location, age, and insurance carrier, not health status. New members must wait two months prior to acceptance but once accepted, all family members may join. Other health plans are available outside the open enrollment period. Individual and family pre-paid voluntary dental, vision, life, long term care, prescription, hearing and chiropractic plans are also available.

REALTORS® must sign up for C.A.R.'s guaranteed issue (i.e., no health application required) health plans with Blue Cross during C.A.R.'s annual OPEN ENROLLMENT periods, April 1st through May 15th for a June 1st effective day and October 15th through November 30th for a January 1st effective date. Eligible members may enroll the first of any month on a guaranteed issue basis for the Kaiser plans. REALTORS® may apply for other insurance at any time but are required to undergo a health underwriting process (i.e., fill out a health application and be accepted).

Errors and Omissions Insurance (E&O)
The Errors and Omissions Program endorsed by C.A.R. is underwritten by member companies of American International Group, Inc. (AIG). New! VPI Pet Insurance

C.A.R. has endorsed VPI Pet Insurance to provide health and accident insurance for members’ cats, dogs, birds and other exotic pets. Pet insurance provides both protection for a pet and peace of mind for a pet owner. Just like with any other family member, you want what is best for your pet and VPI Pet Insurance is there to help.

VPI policies start at just $7 to $10 per month with a $50 deductible per incident, although the cost varies by species and age. C.A.R. members receive a 5% discount on premiums. These policies cover thousands of major medical conditions, but do not cover conditions that are pre-existing or congenital/hereditary. Additionally, the pet owner is free to visit any licensed veterinarian anywhere, even when you are away from home. Optional Vaccination and Routine Care Coverage is also available.

Legal Expense Reimbursement

This policy provides reimbursement for legal expenses incurred and can be used to supplement existing E&O coverage or be used without E&O coverage. In addition, coverage for IRS audits is offered. This program is administered by Gibson & Company Insurance Brokers Inc.
